so this my poem this week we have been learning about defence mechanisms and dangerous animals that we have been reading about. We read about termites, possums and Texas horned lizards. The termites would send there elderly to do there jobs for them.

Free Writing - Corona Virus

 Week 4 term 2. weekend just over and i've come down with a cold. These days if you have symptoms of a cold people just assume that it's COVID 19. Day 1 feels like it's going on forever all I was doing was watching movies, sneezing, and sleeping. Day 2 it's nice and peaceful doing what I usually do. A loud noise started getting closer and sounded like kids were screaming as they entered the house. It was my little brother and sister screaming their heads off in laughter. When the kids got home they gave me the biggest headache ever. I thought I should be used to this. I hear loud voices every day.  

Science Fiction Setting

While on the battlecruiser traveling the cosmos laser beams rice shading off the battlecruiser. Captain falcon is dead asleep. The crew is holding the fort and the government is trying to take captain falcon and his crew out. Luckily the battle cruiser is made out of shiny chrome “ well not so shiny now “ titanium and its 100000 thousand square feet. Over 500 people lived on board this city in the sky. It’s technology was beyond anything that was currently available. But its most unique feature was its biotechnology high tech laser beam; it's so strong it can wipe out half of the world.   

Planet Guba

Little did they know their world was going to change. Gooba was an unnatural planet. Every person has powers. Not normal right. Well, nearly everyone. Except Blurb, he isn’t like the other kids. He hasn’t got powers. All the other kids are all out playing. They don’t let blurb join in. He’s picked last for everything. I wouldn’t blame them because he;s really skinny. He’s more light green than dark. He has weird spiky hair and no powers. Blurb has no friends. His only friend was his mum. She passed away from a disease. He’s alone, No family.After school he goes home and tries everything to see if he has powers.


A large crackling soul came from the centre of the planet, splitting the earth apart. P from the ground came zumba, a dark lord, villainous, evil and ready to destroy the people of guba. The capital panama has been overrun by zumba the stores everywhere his troop are going to people houses and holding them hostage there was a sertern present that has awakened zumba the one and only blurb the end.

Information report

This picture shows what an information report is. Read it and then read my intro down bellow. 80% of our waterways are fair to poor quality. The reason I'm writing this is because our water in Aotearoa is really yuck. In our precious water we've got top soil, algae, and rubbish. This water we use it for a lot of things we drink and our wildlife drinks it to. Our forest needs the water and the plants we eat as well. In my class ATN we are going to be testing our local stream to see how healthy our water is in our community.

Fill the bucket

Water was drooling out my mouth. We were playing a game of fill the bucket. So miss my homeroom teacher took us out on the quad I was thinking what are we doing. Anyway, Miss had a bucket. It was yellow. It looked like rotten water. The other thing she had was packs of cups and eight ice cream containers. Miss started to set up. She spread them out and they were about 1 foot apart. I said to Miss before we do whatever we were doing, why does the water look like that? She said “ oh its yellow food colouring “ I was so relieved. There were two groups. Miss picked one table that was the first group. I was in the second group. Miss called the table up. She was explaining the rules. She said ok you need to use only your left hand but when you fill your cup up you need to try holding it in your mouth. Miss said go group 1 started running Charlie was in the lead it was over so fast everyone was nagging Miss who won miss said I will announce it soon. I was up and I held my cup in my mouth. We were running and everyone was cheating. I vortexed the water and I didn't swallow it. The game was over and she said nobody won in my group.           

Setting description

As I sit under the tree drips fall and splash. It hits my forehead. Listening to the birds are singing, fluttering and chattering. All my senses are active. I can hear the cars rumbling as they drive past and I can smell the wet soggy leaves around me. I can see the drips falling from above. It felt like that ten minutes lasted forever. 

What I've been doing for get creative

So in get creative I've been making a slide. I'ts about  hunting so you need to right down some questions like what do you hunt in New Zealand. And ill need to do some research about what do you hunt in New Zealand so I've done about five questions so stay tuned it will be updated next week

John And John John

Puff! Their luggage has fallen into the jungle. John John said “umm john John said “yes”. “Our gear is gone”. “What?”. John John was a talking monkey and he wore boots. He was brown with green eyes and he always sat on John's shoulder. John is a pretty chill guy. He’s dressed like Indiana Jones. He’s serious when he needs to be and he knows to have fun. He only opens up to his best friend John John. But he has no hair but that's another story. John likes to keep to himself but has an excellent sense of humour. I suppose explorers don't tend to see lots of people all the time.     

 

  

Review letter

While at Mcdonalds their food is very delicious, it looks nothing like the ads.These tables are always yuck,dirty, and stink.I love the place but there's so many things they have to change for example when you order, they always mess up.Then we always need to go back and tell them.Lately when we have gone the machines have been broken.Most commonly the ice cream/milkshake machine.

The lettuce is never in the burger..It is always sitting on the side.When you go through the drive thru I say no ice I get my drink and there's ice.

Quickly I want to talk about hygiene. Every time I go inside the tables are never wiped.No body wants to on a dirty table.Beside all of that I love Mcdonalds.

My letter to Jacinda Ardern

Dear Jacinda Ardern,

My name is Mikaera. I go to Otaki college. I am a year eight I would love it if you could come and visit the best town in Aotearoa.

I'm writing this letter because I have recognised what you have done for New Zealand.The lockdown was really and I wondered why we were in lockdown? I only just realised what could have happened.The end result and look now we've had 1442 recover I thank you.I want to recognize your hard work and for making the hard decisions you did.

I'm writing this letter to thank you for opening up Mcdonalds,Burgerking and KFC.Its finally feeling normal again.

You are a good leader because you made a good decision to protect us.You are confident,work hard and organised, again, thank you.

Covid 19

Corona virus had stopped all the schools which lead on to have school holidays early Aye couple days into the holidays we went into lock down and that means no more hanging out with your friends no more basketball no more takeaways nothing can't even leave the house.The only option was to watch movies and play some fortnite oh and sleep.Four hole weeks of doing nothing I sat there watching movies for hours when i get bored of that I play fortnite. The only time I get to get out the house is when my family goes for walks on the beach or when I go to the shop with my parents but still need to wait in the car.so over all this lock down is really dumb I just want things to go back to normal like there no need to walk on the other side of the road when you see people the end.

Swimming Sports Recount

I was walking into the gym to the pool seeing everyone getting ready to swim.
Bang! It got my attention all I saw was the swimmers flying threw the water like a fish.
I was not that interested in swimming so I kinda did my own thing. I sat on the far corner
away from the house gazebos It was me and some of my friends we were just playing
around not really watching what was happening.

It was one of the smuggest days in a long time.I walked to the tap because I was feeling
dehydrated. I took big gulps of water. I felt so good after.I tried to get into the
gym all the doors were locked. I begged the teachers to go into the gym I wanted to play
basketball.
